Early Diagnosis

We encourage parents to schedule their child’s initial exam at age 7. In some cases, Dr. Tighe will recommend early, interceptive treatment. With early treatment he can take the least invasive approach to address skeletal issues that, left unchecked, may require more invasive approaches in the future. However, in many cases, we recommend putting off treatment until the child has all of his or her adult teeth. Options for Adolescents

Between the ages of 11 and 15 is the most common time for orthodontic treatment, and for good reasons. By 12, most, if not all, of the permanent teeth are in place, and crooked teeth, gaps and bad bites are highly visible. We can often take advantage of the remaining growth to make the necessary orthodontic corrections to create an exceptional smile for your child. Since many of their friends are in braces at the same time, most adolescents LOVE sharing the braces experience. Invisalign®

STRAIGHT TEETH WITHOUT BRACES

The Invisalign® System straightens your teeth without wires and brackets, using a series of clear, customized, removable aligners. It's virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth without announcing it to the world. Invisalign moves your teeth in small steps to the desired final position. Each of your aligners is precisely customized to fit your mouth at each stage of the treatment plan. You switch to a new set of aligners every couple of weeks and only remove the to eat, brush and floss. Before you know it you’ll be smiling like you never have before!
