Meet Dr. Philip Tighe
I’m a second-generation orthodontist, proudly carrying on the incredible legacy my father (also Phil) began here in Allentown, PA more than 50 years ago. In many ways, I was literally born to do this; we even have photos of me as a toddler “reading” dental journals. Following in his footsteps was always my dream, and I’m grateful every day that I get to live it.
I’ve been practicing orthodontics for over 25 years, and I approach every patient with the same combination of expertise, care, and dedication that I would want for my own family. My goal is to bring state-of-the-art orthodontics to our community in a beautiful, comfortable environment. Orthodontics is more than just straightening teeth; it’s about transforming confidence, improving function, and creating smiles that last a lifetime.
Being an orthodontist is truly an honor. I love being part of a profession that has high ethical standards, embraces innovation, and makes a positive impact on people’s lives. Every patient I see brings new challenges, fresh perspectives, and meaningful interactions that keep me inspired.

I’m proud to serve on staff at Jefferson Lehigh Valley Health Network as Division Chief of Orthodontics and as a member of the Cleft Palate Team. Here we are able to make a difference for patients with unique treatment needs in the very community where I grew up.
Outside the Office
I live in the Lehigh Valley with my wife, Jenha, our two daughters, Ainsley and Molly, and our adorable dog, Bo, who also happens to be our office therapy dog. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s golfing, skiing, biking, or spending time with my family.
